One of the best left back footballers to grace the Premier League, Julian Dicks is considered to be one of the greatest West Ham United FC players to ever play for the club.
Julian was voted West Ham’s player of the year four times in a two year spell and also played for Liverpool, Birmingham and Canvey Island. He was also capped by both the England U21 and England B sides alongside Paul Gascoigne.
Post retirement, Julian took up golf and soon turned professional until various knee injuries forced him to give up the sport.
Julian has a UEFA B coaching licence and has previously been manager of West Ham United ladies before he was offered the Assistant Manager role at West Ham United mens in which he became Slaven Bilic’s right hand man. After a brief spell at Heybridge Swifts in 2019, Julian took the Assistant Manager role at West Bromwich Albion.
Aside from managing, Julian regularly attends after dinner speeches and Q&A events, and he works with various TV broadcasters such as BT Sports, Sky Sports, TalkSPORT, Astro Sports, BBC5 Live. He has a keen interest in co-commentary and has enjoyed covering various football games.
